When we hire any service (not just telephony) we have to see and review a contract that we are going to sign and that links us with the entity that provides us with the service. Operators always put the most important things in their rates, very large for the customer to see, but there are some things that remain in the air or that are in some hidden place which is not easy to find. Vodafone has 7 of these things that nobody tells you, but we are going to do it.

These 7 things are directly related to the mobile rates available to the operator, both in terms of the rates themselves and other things associated with them. If more, we tell you all these things below.

you can choose discount

If we go to the mobile rates of the company, we will see how we find several options. All by default show us a 50% discount that lasts three months, but in a somewhat more hidden way, these rates give us the opportunity to choose a different discount.

Choose the discount you prefer.

To see it, we only have to look at each rate and click on the upper right where it indicates 25% discount. This discount is less than the previous one, but unlike him it lasts 6 months instead of three.

Not all unlimited rates are created equal

Vodafone has a very attractive offer of mobile contract rates. This is because most of them offer both calls and unlimited data, specifically there are 3 rates that offer this. But if all three offer unlimited everything, what sets them apart?

Speed limitation.

Very simple, and the main difference is that depending on the rate that we will contract, we will have a different browsing speed. The most basic or Essential has an average speed of 2 Mbps, the intermediate or Advanced 10 Mbps and the most expensive or Unlimited Plus allows us to enjoy full speed (1 Gbps).

Only one gives you TV with HBO Max or Disney Plus

As we say, the unlimited rates that Vodafone has differ mainly in the browsing speed they allow and, of course, in the price. However, there is an additional difference between the most expensive and the other two, and that is that it includes a free television package for one year.

The two television packs that we can choose from.

Now, this television pack will have to be chosen between two different options: the Seriefans Pack (which includes HBO Max) or the Familyfans Pack (which includes Disney Plus). We will have to choose the one we want in the hiring process.

The gigabytes in roaming change according to the rate

Both the rates with unlimited data and those that do not have them allow us to roam. On the one hand, the rates that do not have unlimited data will allow us to use Roaming as if we were in Spain, so we will spend our data in a normal way.

Data available for roaming.

Now, this does not apply to unlimited data rates. These, despite having unlimited data as their name indicates, have a limitation. The Unlimited Essential will have 24 GB per month, the Unlimited Advanced with 26 and the Unlimited Plus with 32 GB per month. Once these gigabytes are exceeded, 3.03 euros will be paid for each additional GB.

Only unlimited have discounted add-ons

In both unlimited and non-unlimited rates we have the option of taking additional lines associated with the same line holder. If we look at the three unlimited rates, we can actually benefit from a 50% discount on each of them.

50% discount for additional ones.

However, this discount is not listed if we look at the rates that are not unlimited. In this, it only indicates the following: «Yes, you have the possibility of contracting up to a maximum of 4 additional lines and even combining different types of rates». No trace of discount.

Secure Net is only free for 3 months

Secure Net is a wonderful service that Vodafone provides to its customers so that they can browse the Internet without problems. This protects the user from almost any type of malware and even prevents you from fraudulent pages created for phishing.

3 free months of Secure Net.

This service is included in the unlimited rates and also in those that are not unlimited. Of course, it is only included during the first three months, after which it costs one euro per month for each telephone line.

Beware of premium rate numbers

Unlimited calls can give a false sense of security to users, who may unknowingly call all kinds of numbers that are not included in their rate. Vodafone also has these numbers, and if you are a customer and you call you will have to pay more on your bill.

Be careful where you call with your unlimited rate.

Vodafone’s unlimited rates do not include calls to premium rate numbers (such as 700, 901 or 902), as well as international calls, calls to directory numbers (such as 118) and calls not used to identify end users. Premium SMS are also not included.
