At Amazon we can buy everything, from a pack of staples to the latest iPhone released on the market, going through motor, sports, clothing, household items… This, along with other advantages (such as free shipping in one day, its competitive prices, etc) and services linked to Prime (such as Gaming, Music or Video) have made it the main store, for everything, for many users. However, Amazon hides many secrets with which we can even save more money, such as its refurbished store, or Amazon Warehouse.
Obviously, when we return a used product to Amazon, and Amazon refunds our money, this does not mean that the company will make a loss, nor that it will sell the used product, as new, to other users. When we return a product to Amazon, it goes directly to the refurbish center. They are in charge of checking its condition, repackaging it in the best possible way, and preparing it for a new sale directly through Amazon Warehouse.
In exchange for “getting rid of” these used products, which can no longer be sold as new, Amazon applies a significant discount so that users who do not care that the box comes open, or that the product has already been used, they can save a significant amount of money.
In this case, for example, the price difference is 50 euros compared to the same new Tablet, just because it is open.
What is the status of the product?
Depending on the state of the product, we can find 4 classifications:

Like new: means that the product is in perfect condition, but the packaging, for various reasons, has suffered some damage, or it does not exist at all. The product works and has all its accessories.

Very Good – The item is in very good condition, but you can see that it has been used (albeit very little), and may show some minor blemishes. The packaging may be damaged, and some accessories may be missing.

Good – Item is in good condition, works perfectly, but shows some wear from moderate use. Some accessories may be missing, and even we may not be able to use it until we purchase these accessories separately.

Acceptable: shows clear signs of having been used, but it works. Has scratches, nicks and other signs of heavy use. May be missing accessories, components or parts.
Depending on the state in which the product is found, the lower its price will be. That is, if we find the same laptop (for example), in “like new” and “acceptable” condition, this second one can cost up to 5 times less because it is in “worse” conditions.
Amazon Warehouse Warranty and Returns
And what happens if I receive the product second-hand, and it is not in the condition that I expected? All purchases from Amazon Warehouse are covered by the same Amazon return policy. In other words, if we are not satisfied, we can return the product, completely free, within the established period. Since the products we buy here are unique, it is not possible to request an exchange for another.
In addition, all the products that we buy here are covered by the same guarantee conditions as any other product. That is, we will have 2 years (3 years in the case of electronic products) for warranty and repairs. And, if it were not possible, the purchase money would be returned.
