An Argentinian driver has just recorded the highly dubious honor of setting a new driving breathalyzer record. After suffering a spectacular accident, he was subjected to a breathalyzer test and the result was truly surprising: 5.5 grams of alcohol per liter of blood.

The witnesses asked by local media say that they cannot explain how the driver was able to get into the car and start it up given his drunken state. He still did it, but fortunately for the rest of the drivers, he only advanced a few meters before crashing into a wall.
When the traffic agents arrived, they found the semi-conscious driver next to the vehicle door.
Since it was more than evident that he was under the influence of alcohol, the agents carried out the relevant tests. The breathalyzer confirmed that the driver had ingested alcohol before starting the march, but in large quantities since he had a blood alcohol level of 5.5 gr / liter!
To give you an idea of the nonsense that this figure implies, we remember that in Spain those drivers who circulate with a rate higher than 0.5 gr/l (0.3 gr/l if they are new drivers and / or professionals). While driving with a blood alcohol level above 0.6 gr/ is classified as a crime and can lead to prison sentences.
In this way, the driver surpasses the world record for alcohol behind the wheel established by a driver of Spanish nationality who was discovered in the French town of Libourne with a rate of 4.75 gr/l.
