More than 1,000 hp, but only 27 seconds
Viritech bets strongly against the electric car and launches its hydrogen car to compete unapologetically with the most powerful electric sports cars. And he does it with a notable advantage, since his model manages to produce more horsepower and declare fewer kilos on the scale. That is, the weight / power ratio (fundamental in these models) is in his favor.
I am talking about the Viritech Apricale, a supercar that applies a recipe that is difficult to beat: 1,000 horses weighing less than 1,000 kilos and wrapped in a bodywork designed by none other than Pininfarina himself. Its secret lies in the hydrogen tank technology, which is integrated into the carbon fiber chassis and thus weighs up to twenty times less than traditional hydrogen tanks.
Two 536 hp electric motors
The hydrogen from these tanks enters at a rate of 5.4 kg at 700 bar pressure and, thanks to a fuel cell, drives the 536 hp motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle. In addition, it mounts a 6 KWh battery that is activated in the phases of maximum power. Specifically, it is capable of generating 1,000 CV at full capacity, although it ‘only’ maintains them for 27 seconds.
And what will be the price of this powerful hydrogen sports car capable of competing with the most reputable super electric cars? Well, to answer that question we will still have to wait, since it will not be marketed until 2024. And it will not be just a matter of money, because at the moment only 25 privileged people will be able to have one in their garage.
