Second-hand platforms to buy and sell all kinds of products have not stopped growing in recent years. It is a way to save a few euros on our purchases or obtain extra income through certain sales of products that we no longer use.

In our country, one of the most interesting proposals that we can find, as well as being used throughout the peninsula, is Wallapop. This is a proposal that allows us, first of all, to put all kinds of products on sale so that our closest neighbors can see them. Obviously, the search range can also be expanded, which opens up the range of available possibilities much more. All this will allow us to stay in situ with the interested person or make the corresponding shipment.

Something similar happens with the payment methods that we can use both when receiving and sending money. For example, we can do it by hand if we meet the person on the street, or use the payment system offered by the e-commerce platform itself. It is worth mentioning that initially we can take advantage of all these platform services for free. However, there are some expenses that we may encounter unexpectedly.

Generally, these will allow us to get more out of our purchases and sales by making a small financial outlay that was initially not expected or planned.

Wallapop additional expenses to buy and sell better

We have already told you before that initially this is a platform for buying and selling second-hand or new products that we can deliver by hand. However, we can also make use of the shipping function that Wallapop offers us to facilitate both the shipment itself and the receipt of the products. However, this has an additional cost depending on whether we receive it at home or at a Post Office. Here the weight of the product that we are going to send or receive will also come into play.

Wallapop shipments

It must be taken into account that these expenses are borne by the buyer if we use the Wallapop function itself and its cost will be from 2.50 euros.

Of course, as with many other specific courier services, here we can take out insurance to further protect the product that we send and that we have just sold. Obviously, this supposes an additional expense that in most cases will be necessary or at least recommended. To give us an idea, if the cost of the product is less than 25 euros, the insurance that we can contract will cost us 1.95 euros. From then on, its costs range between 5% and 10% of the cost of the purchased product.

On the other hand, we can also subscribe to Wallapop Pro in the event that we are going to use this platform on a regular basis and to do business. Contrary to what happens with the usual modality, this more professional mode of operation has a cost. This starts at 39 euros per month and goes up, depending on the maximum number of products that we are going to sell in that period of time.
