How and where to watch Formula 1 in 2022?

The 2022 Formula 1 season is here and that’s why it’s important to know how and where to watch F1. There are high hopes for this year, which is called to revolutionize the championship, and where our team, Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz, aspire to achieve podiums, victories and who knows if any of them may have title options.

DAZN is once again in possession of the broadcast rights for the premier class for the second consecutive year, and for this reason the sports platform is the first option to enjoy F1 in 2022, but not the only one.

See F1: DAZN and Movistar

Last season the races were also broadcast on Movistar TV, which offered DAZN programming to those who contract it through its sports packages, something that is expected to remain the same this year.

The price for watching DAZN has been updated in 2022 and has just become €12.99 per month, an amount that allows its subscribers to enjoy Formula 1, MotoGP, different football championships, boxing and much more.

Part of the DAZN programming is also available on Movistar TV, although the price and the possibility of subscription depend on the services and packages contracted. Movistar also broadcasts the linear channels DAZN 1 and DAZN 2, so not all live content or reports are always available.

Looking ahead to this year, DAZN F1 has updated its team of commentators and reporters slightly. Antonio Lobato will continue to give voice to F1, accompanied in the races by Pedro de la Rosa and Toni Cuquerella. Lobato will also broadcast free practice, although in these sessions he will have Roldán Rodríguez with him, who will take turns with Cristóbal Rosaleny.

Former F1 and competition mechanic Albert Fábrega will continue to travel to the races, accompanied by Melissa Jiménez, who joins the team to replace Noemí de Miguel. The Navarran journalist will present the pre and post program from the set in Madrid.

Nira Juanco, who performed this task, becomes deputy director of the channel, while Liborio García continues to be the director. To this must also be added the arrival of the well-known content creator Víctor Abad, who will have a program on Mondays after the race, F1 Code, where he will review what happened on Sunday from his point of view.

DAZN F1 raises the price

Starting this year, Movistar and DAZN will also share other television rights, those of La Liga. Thanks to this, DAZN will extend its programming to its viewers, with five games per day. This has been received as great news by users of the platform, but also with fear of a possible price increase.

And indeed, DAZN has raised its price from €9.99 to €12.99 (monthly payment) or from €99.90 to €129.99 (annual payment), something they have done for the first time since their arrival in Spain in 2019 and after a few months at a promotional price.

However, the upload has nothing to do with La Liga, since those who want to enjoy football matches in our league will have to pay a separate subscription.

F1 TV and other options to watch Formula 1

Formula 1 has its own platform to broadcast races around the world, but it is not available in Spain, as DAZN has exclusive rights to the premier class. For this reason, it is impossible to access the service, whose price in places like France is €64.99 per year.

Other options to watch F1 is to do it through internet streaming, but as we always do, we do not recommend it, since you will not be able to enjoy the races in high definition, you probably will not be able to do it in Spanish either and, of course, you risk to kill a virus on your computer.
