The headers and footers of a document basically serve to number the pages or show some content in text that is repeated. If you know how to configure both the footer and the header in a document. Header and footer in a Word document
It is important that you know, that when you use the function that allows you to configure the header and footer. It will be shown in the top menu, different tools that you can use for its adjustment and here you will determine if you will change the header, the footer or both.

To get started, go to your files and open the document that contains the headers and footers you want to hide. The next step is to choose the View option after Headers and Footers, this will open the toolbar for the settings of this option.
The next thing you are going to do is write the header and finally you must click on the Close headers and footers button.
Steps to hide header and footer in Word document
Now you are going to notice that the header will be displayed with a semi transparent font, now so you can hide that header in your document. You are going to go to the View option and then you are going to click on Normal. Now the headers will not be visible on that page, you can do the same with the footer to hide them.
The next step is to create headers and footers on one page, but on the other page they should not appear. Now place your mouse cursor at the top of the page, then go to the Insert tab on the top menu and click. Then select the Page option and finally choose Page break.
For the next page and stay there now click the View later option under Header and Footer. The next step is to write the header of your liking and then select the Page Settings option. The next step is to go to the Layout tab and here you need to check the Different First Page option and then select From Here On.
Once this is done, go down in the Page Setup window and click on the Apply option and then on the OK button. With this action, the header of the first page will be hidden, but the next page or so. You can also perform these steps to apply it to footers and it will happen in the same way as it did with the header.
In this way a selective hiding of the header and footer has been done, if you want to do this on the first or last page do the following. Open the document in Design view, then right-click on the header and choose Header Properties. The Show header for this report option should be unchecked.
Now in Print Options you just have to uncheck the boxes for the first and last page and then click OK. Do the same operation but with the option for the footer, this same resource can be used to remove the page number from a cover and improve its presentation.
