If you are a Lamborghini customer, the Italian brand is taking you on a month-long expedition through Iceland with the Urus. Or I was taking you, because the event is already over.

Being a Lamborghini customer not only gives you access to their exclusive vehicles, but also allows you to be part of a select group of drivers who can live experiences like the one a group of 50 customers from Europe and the Middle East have had. And it is that Lamborghini has taken all these owners on an expedition through Iceland for a month at the wheel of the Urus.

The expedition was part of the so-called ‘Esperienza Avventura’, a series of events that Lamborghini is organizing to demonstrate the capabilities of its cars. And in this case, the event centered around the off-road capability of the Lamborghini Urus in a month-long expedition through the geography of Iceland, traveling some 300 kilometers every day.

The land featured some of the most iconic sights on Iceland’s south coast, including a lava flow from a new volcano that appeared in 2021 to the Kvernufoss waterfall. The brand points out that the Urus allows buyers to do much more than they could do with the models in the rest of the product portfolio of the firm from Sant’Agata Bolognese.

Of course, the 650bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 helps, but so does the extra ride height of an SUV like the Urus.

Glaciers, roads full of dust and stones, inhospitable landscapes, cold weather, water and snow, all forming part of a landscape where the caravan of colorful Lamborghini Urus were the perfect note of contrast.

Even Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann participated in the event and seemed very excited. “It was extraordinary to see so many Urus all together in an environment like Iceland, with so many different routes and road surfaces to put them to the test,” said the executive.

This has been the last stage of the ‘Esperienza Avventura’ series of events, which has already visited other places such as Norway, Andalusia and Transylvania.
