It is the cheapest electric car in Spain, with four seats, a 270-liter trunk and less than 20,000 euros

The Dacia Spring is the cheapest electric car in Spain. It has four seats and 270 liters of trunk, and its price is less than 20,000 euros.

That electric cars are too expensive is a myth that should start to lose steam among buyers. Although they continue to have a high price, there are already models that you can buy for the equivalent of the price of a utility vehicle or a medium compact, which makes it increasingly interesting to evaluate this option if you meet the driver profile of an urban electric vehicle. .

Today we want to talk about the cheapest electric car you can buy in Spain, the Dacia Spring. It is a four-seater urban SUV with a 270-liter boot that costs less than 20,000 euros if you take advantage of the financing and aid from the MOVES III Plan, which includes scrapping an old car to receive the maximum possible bonus.

The small and electric brother of the Dacia Sandero is a crossover that is barely 3.73 meters long, 1.58 meters wide and 1.51 meters high, all on a platform with a 2.42-meter wheelbase that allows you to enjoy an interior with four seats (2+2) and a boot with 270 liters of volumetric capacity.

These characteristics make the Spring an urban vehicle that you can drive daily if you move mainly around the city, either to work or to run your errands. It is a somewhat practical car, since it has four seats and five doors, as well as a trunk with enough space to carry all the purchases for the week.

On a mechanical level, the Dacia Spring is a perfect example of what an electric car for exclusively urban use should be like. It has a small 33 kW (45 hp) electric motor with 125 Nm of torque that is sent directly to the front axle via a single-speed transmission.

A 27.4 kWh energy capacity battery supplies enough electricity so that Dacia’s first electric car can homologate up to 230 kilometers of autonomy between charge and charge. In addition, you can charge in a direct current socket at 30 kW, which will allow you to reach 80% of its battery level in less than an hour.

The Dacia Spring, which, of course, has the DGT 0 Emissions environmental label due to its condition as a pure electric car, is available in two versions. The option of access to the range and, therefore, the one that you can buy for less than 20,000 euros, includes standard equipment such as climate control, assisted emergency braking or electric mirrors.

It also offers other standard elements such as LED daytime running lights, electric windows on all four doors, speed limiter, hill start assistance, on-board computer, emergency call, automatic lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, upholstery fabric and ISOFIX anchorages in the rear side seats.

The official price of the Dacia Spring Essential in Spain is 27,555 euros. However, with the help of 7,000 euros (scrapping an old car) from the MOVES III Plan, the price drops to 20,555 euros. To this you can add the offer to finance with the brand, which reduces the figure to the final price of 19,555 euros.
