There are many websites on the Internet that are full of courses of all kinds, with some even including certifications that can help us find a job more easily. There are many paid options, but if you know where to look you can find some free options loaded with courses that will work wonders for you. We give you some very interesting examples.
As we say, on the Internet you can find some free course websites with which you can learn almost anything, and with the convenience of not having to go to any educational center to do so. Some of these courses are taught by prestigious universities, so they are very worthwhile. Taking these types of courses can be very interesting for you, even professionally, since these courses could help you find a job.
coursera
One of the best pages that we can find to take free courses is Coursera, and this website has more than 2,500 courses to take. Just take a look at the top left where it indicates Explore to see all that this website offers us.
When we are inside all the free courses that the web has, we will find a series of filters on the left side of the screen that will help us not to get overwhelmed looking for courses. In these we can select so that only the courses in Spanish appear, or to select the duration of these courses, for example.
EDX
EDX is another great website to find free courses of all kinds. On this page we will find, as on the previous one, a good number of free courses taught by some of the most important entities and universities in the world.
The number of free courses offered by EDX is greater than that of Coursera, since it offers just over 3,500 free courses, divided into three levels: introductory, intermediate and advanced. The courses, as we say, are totally free, but once finished we will be able to opt for most of them to obtain a certification in exchange for a small sum of money.
UNED
The National Distance Education University (or UNED) makes a fairly wide range of free courses available to everyone. These courses are very varied, although somewhat more limited than on the previous two pages.
These courses offered by the UNED do not have any type of degree or grant university credits, but they have the great advantage that we can start and finish them whenever we want, since they do not carry any established date.
Google Activate
You may not know it, but Google itself also has a good number of free courses related to digital marketing, data and technology. These courses are great for improving your skills as well as your resume as many of them come with a free certification (some come with a fee).
These courses are of all kinds, with some options from a few hours to others that will take us several days of learning. To be able to take these courses, all we have to do is log in with our Google account and start them whenever we want.
University Carlos III of Madrid
This university, like the UNED, also has several very interesting free courses available. We are going to find these in a portal created solely for it, and we are going to see them divided into three different categories: social and legal sciences, humanities and engineering.
As with the UNED, these free courses offered by the Carlos III University do not give any credit that can help us in a university career, but we can start and finish them whenever we want. To do this, we will only have to access the course that interests us the most and download a ZIP with all the files and resources that the course has.
Miriadax
Miriadax is a website that includes as many paid courses as free courses taught by Spanish and Latin American universities. On this website we will find all the resources in Spanish, which is undoubtedly an incentive to opt for this one.
At the end of each course we will have the opportunity to get a certification by paying, although this will not be mandatory in any case. There is a wide variety of topics for the courses on this website, since we can find, for example, programming or environment courses.
