The Dutch driver broke out after several interruptions in the race due to safety concerns.

Since he has been racing in Formula 1, Max Verstappen has made it very clear to us that he does not mince words. If he doesn’t like something, he says it loud and clear, especially if it affects his results in a race. This weekend, he was preparing to compete for victory in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans, but technology played a trick on him and he got angry.

Relying on eSports to prepare for his F1 races, Max takes what happens in them very seriously. And the best proof of this is what happened during the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans, to which the Dutch driver arrived eager and well prepared together with his team, Team Redline, especially after the accident he suffered last year. while leading.

What angered Max in this edition, in which he also came to lead, was that the race suffered several interruptions due to technical problems that caused the organization to wave the red flag, stopping the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans on several occasions. Due to these setbacks, Max’s car even stopped and locked in the box seven hours from the end of the test.

Verstappen, who was not satisfied with any other result than victory, exploded through social networks: “They call it bad luck, but it is simply incompetence. They can’t even control their own game. This has been the last time, has it?” what’s the point?”

“You prepare for five months to try and win this championship, you lead and try to win the race that you have prepared for two months and they manage it like that. It’s a joke, honestly. You can’t even say it’s an event. It’s a show of clowns”, said the two-time Formula 1 world champion, according to media such as Eurogamer.

After the race, Gérard Neveau, Executive Producer of the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans, explained that “for the first seven hours of the race we had some serious problems with the servers. Upon initial investigation, it appears that some competitors accidentally shared with the public the IP addresses that connect them to the server, which should not happen”.

“This weakened us and we were subject to some security issues that led to a global shutdown of all competitors. It should never happen if IP addresses are well protected,” he added.

In the end, victory went to the other Team Redline car, driven by Felipe Drugovich (Aston Martin F1 development driver), Felix Rosenqvist (Indycar driver), Luke Bennett (eSports) and Christ Lulham, former F4 driver and driver of eSports.

The Spanish Daniel Juncadella, part of the AMG Team Petronas Esports team, finished in fifth position. There were numerous official teams in the competition, such as AMG, Williams, Alpine, Porsche, Peugeot, Ford, Ferrari or BMW.
