The offer of vehicles with three individual seats in the second row is quite scarce, because generally this type of configuration has been focused on the minivan segment, which has been quite stagnant in recent years. In recent years, the occasional SUV and, above all, the new generations of Combi vans (in this link you can see a video with the cheapest family vans), have made things a little easier.
In the traditional minivan sector, models are still sold (quite old-fashioned, really) with 3 individual seats in the second row, ideal for carrying three adults in total comfort or for mounting three child seats without any problem.
There are barely four minivan models with this type of configuration. In the last six months, the Seat Alhambra and the Citröen Grand C4 SpaceTourer have been withdrawn from this market segment, and have not been replaced by similar models. They cover this need, as I mentioned, the SUV and derivatives of Combi commercial vans.
We list the last four MPVs with three rows of individual seats that are still sold in Spain:
Ford S Max
The Ford SMax has a design that dates back to 2015, and since then it has remained without major changes. A couple of years ago it was updated with a new radiator grille and some other details, but it has practically not changed in the last six seasons.
This minivan, which is manufactured in Almussafes (Valencia) is one of those that offer three individual seats in the second row, perfect for installing three baby seats or carrying three adults without restrictions. In addition, it has a third row of seats, for occasional use, since it is a little tight on space, although it can be slightly expanded thanks to the possibility of running the second row seats.
The trunk offers a capacity between 285 and 2,200 liters (measured to the roof). The Ford S-Max stands out for its good dynamism on the road, excellent interior space, very functional, good equipment and for mounting a new 190 hp hybrid engine, which lowers consumption and allows it to have the Eco label. It is sold from 39,097 euros.

Ford Galaxy
In the same way that the S-Max has been updated, Ford has renewed its reference minivan with the incorporation of a hybrid engine that combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle gasoline engine, an electric motor and an ion battery lithium with a capacity of 1.1 kWh. The joint power is 190 hp.
The Galaxy, larger than the S-Max, is a true 7-seater, and also has a second row with the ability to move to expand space and with three individual seats. The capacity of its trunk varies between 200 and 2,339 liters. It is sold for 47,575 euros.

Renault Space
The Renault Espace received a small remodeling about a year and a half ago that involved an improvement in safety, with the addition of new elements such as LED matrix headlights or the level 2 autonomous driving system on the highway. It also received a new generation of the Easy Link multimedia system. This updated this minivan, which although it is sold with five seats, can also be optionally ordered with seven seats.
It has a second row of seats with three individual seats that can be moved longitudinally. These seats allow three adults to travel very comfortably and introduce it to the select group of minivans with a more familiar environment. Its trunk offers a capacity between 247 and 2,035 litres. Renault sells the Espace only with a blue dCi diesel engine with 160 or 190 hp, and from 49,330 euros.

volkswagen touran
The Volkswagen Touran is perhaps the best example of discretion and conservatism in design among all the minivans sold on the market. It comes with 7 seats as standard, which clearly indicates that it is aimed at families. It can be ordered with 5 seats, free of charge, so that about 100 liters of luggage space are gained. This offers 743 liters of capacity expandable to 1,980 liters with the rear seats folded down and loaded to the roof.
The “Fold Flat” system allows the second and third row seats to be folded down in a matter of seconds, facilitating the expansion of cargo capacity. The seats in the second row are individual, sliding and with the possibility of varying the inclination of the backrest. As an original detail, the two at the ends can be configured as a child’s seat. You just have to raise the bench and place an accessory, somewhat cumbersome, which acts as a lateral backrest.
