Formula 1 ‘landed’ at Max Verstappen’s house.

This weekend is the Dutch Grand Prix, Max Verstappen’s home race. The reigning world champion defends first place in the drivers’ classification, where he has a significant advantage of no less than 93 points over Sergio Pérez.

Formula 1 returns to action just a few days after the intense Belgian GP, where the Red Bull team, and especially Verstappen, were unbeatable. At Spa-Francorchamps, despite an engine change penalty and starting from 14th, the champion managed to take the lead after just 18 laps.

Zandvoort, however, is a ‘buzz’ circuit, very different from Spa, where it cannot be taken for granted that Red Bull will show the same level as in Belgium. Ferrari, the main rival of the energy drink team, is ready to try to stop Max and his team from escaping in the fight for the World Cup.

As for the Spaniards, Sainz and Alonso, both arrive after completing very good races in Belgium. Carlos, leader of the first part of the Grand Prix, put in a great performance and was only beaten by the Red Bulls, showing that he can lead the Italian team.

Alonso, despite the contact with Hamilton at the beginning of the race, managed to finish fifth, scoring points for the ninth consecutive race.
