Peugeot 3008, these are its versions with the Eco and Zero label

The Peugeot 3008 is in fashion. Its new generation is already warming up before its arrival on the market in 2024, but the present one is already an interesting option in the medium SUV segment, largely because it has a range that has versions with both the Eco label and the Zero.

In fact, this is a fairly recent novelty, since until a few months ago the Peugeot did not have any variant with the first environmental badge, it has recently incorporated a microhybrid engine that has also gradually reached other models of the Stellantis group.

Let’s start with it, the only one that has the DGT ECO label. It is an MHEV version based on the well-known 1.2 PureTech gasoline engine, which develops 136 HP of power and 230 Nm of maximum torque. In addition, it integrates an electric motor into the dual-clutch automatic transmission that provides another 28 HP and 55 Nm.

Thanks to this, Peugeot announces a fuel saving of 15%, reducing consumption by 2.5 l/100 km in the city, because it can occasionally act as an electric car, and 0.7 l/100 km in extra-urban areas. Thus, on average it registers 5.6 l/100 km. It also improves its CO2 emissions, reducing them to 126 g/km, 20 g/km less.

On the other hand, there are the plug-in hybrid versions, which have varied throughout the generation, and there are currently three different ones.

The access is the Plug-In Hybrid 180 e-EAT8, a front-wheel drive variant that develops a power of 180 CV. Above that is the Plug-In Hybrid 225 e-EAT8, which is also front-wheel drive, but delivers 225bhp. The top of the range is the Plug-In Hybrid4 300 e-EAT8, which already has all-wheel drive and reaches up to 300 HP of power.

In all cases, the system uses an eight-speed automatic gearbox and is capable of homologating more than 50 kilometers of autonomy in electric mode, which is why all three versions enjoy the ZERO label from the DGT.

It should be noted that the 136 hp microhybrid version is available with the three trim levels available for the Peugeot 3008: Active Pack, Allure Pack and GT.

The same is not true of PHEVs. The access one is compatible with the first two, the intermediate with the three and the superior only with the intermediate and the top of the range.

The Peugeot 3008 microhybrid is available from 35,540 euros, the Plug-In Hybrid 180 e-EAT8 from 43,640 euros, the Plug-In Hybrid 225 e-EAT8 from 45,140 euros and the Plug-In Hybrid4 300 e-EAT8 starts at 52,620 euros.
