After the small 350 in the Indian brand, they launch their older sister, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 2023, a retro twin-cylinder cruiser reminiscent of the 70s.
After the spy photos that circulated through the networks, we can finally see the one that is the descendant of a cross between a Meteor 350 and an Interceptor / Continental 650 two-cylinder. It has just been launched at the 2022 Milan Motor Show.
It is a retro-style roadster, with a large rounded tank -15.7 l-, 19 and 17″ alloy wheels, double-height tube handlebars that are not very wide or very high and a low seat -with the seat of the separate passenger – very reminiscent of the style of American motorcycles of the 50s and 60s.
Its appearance is that of a robust, solid motorcycle, with very pleasant rounded lines, a sensation enhanced by the two-cylinder engine, with finned and polished cylinders. It’s really beautiful.
Its steel double cradle chassis created by Harris Performance, its 43/120 mm inverted fork, its double rear shock absorber and its front disc – 320 mm with two-piston caliper – and rear, have just made up its cycle part.
It’s a short and long bike, but not too long, with the seat at only 740mm and a wheelbase of 1,500mm. In a way, it reminds of the Triumph cruisers, and that is because its engine and its lines are very similar.

The engine is the well-known twin cylinder of the Interceptor and Continental -launched in 2018-, 648 cc -4T, LC, 8V, SOHC, IE- with 47 CV at 7,250 laps, so it can be carried with the A2 license.
The exhaust gases are evacuated through two chrome exhaust silencers, placed side by side of the motorcycle in a low position.
The instrumentation is a single analog-digital mixed dial, with a needle tachometer and in its center an LCD screen for the speedometer, concise and functional, and for the firm’s turn-to-turn navigation system.
The lighting is equipped with a circular headlight and a small rear light, both with LEDs, placed on a large metal fender that gives it a solid and attractive appearance.
It is available in two variants, Super Meteor 650 and Super Meteor 650 Tourer, equipped with windscreen, passenger backrest, led indicators and footrest kit.
The 2023 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will be available in the first quarter of 2023 at an undisclosed price.
