Confirmed! Sony and Honda team up to launch a brand of electric cars. We have been several months with news about Sony and its plans to launch a car brand. With this we knew the Sony Vision-S, and also the second prototype, the Sony Vision-S02 that arrived with the appearance of an SUV, of course. After that, it is confirmed that they join Honda to be able to continue with their projects.
And the goal is clear. With this union both brands get what they are looking for. Sony takes advantage of Honda’s manufacturing capacity. And the latter implements some of Sony’s innovations for the development of mobility services. It’s nice to make friends, right? With this new friendship we look forward to the launch of the first electric model in 2025.
They won’t have it easy though. The competition tightens, brands like Xiaomi, Apple or Google also want a piece of the cake. In most cases, these technology giants would have their own electric vehicles, since the simplicity of electric motors has nothing to do with that of traditional internal combustion mechanics. In addition, the brand image would be cleaner.
