Much had been said about whether the little green 400 supercar would be sold here, well, it’s official, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR will be sold in Spain in the fall.

Until now in our market we could only enjoy a couple of green four-cylinder supercars, the elitist ZX-10R and ZX-10RR which, deep down, are two variants of the same superbike.

Well, starting this year we are going to enjoy a new supercar model with a four-cylinder engine, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R/RR, which is based on the ZX-25R, another four-cylinder supercar beast that we will never taste here…

You will have noticed that we have mentioned two models, the ZX-4R and the ZX-4RR… Both are two faired supercars with a 4-cylinder engine, but the RR is more circuit-oriented, it is more racing.

At last we will be able to enjoy this exciting four-cylinder super sports car.

This model will complement the current Ninja 400, which is equipped with a twin-cylinder engine, a motorcycle for the A2 with a more good-natured character than the new ZX-4RR.

And this is yes because the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR moves with a new 4-cylinder engine in a transversal line -4T, LC, 16V, DOHC, IE, 399 cc- that delivers no less than 77 CV -80 CV with supercharging of the Ram Air while driving at high speed.

That the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR arrives in our country is a real bomb!

For this reason it will be a motorcycle for holders of the A card… But luckily it will also be marketed in a version with reduced power to 48 CV, so it can be driven with the A2 card.

Obviously, the instrumentation is a modern 4.3” TFT color screen, with circuit mode and connectivity -with the Kawasaki Rideology app- that offers GPS navigation information, and the data of our routes.

It will have two versions, Ninja ZX-4R and Ninja ZX-4RR.

And it equips the electronics you expect from it, the KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) and the 4 Power Modes – Sport, Road, Rain and Rider-. In addition, it comes standard with an up&down quickshifter, the KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter).

There is no lack of full LED lighting present throughout the motorcycle and in its double headlight torn from the front, with an aesthetic identical to that of the almighty Ninja ZX-10R.

In its chassis we find a steel Trellis multitubular chassis, a Showa multi-adjustable inverted fork, a Showa BFRC-lite rear monoshock with multi-adjustable links, and a double 290 mm front brake disc bitten by radial-mount brake calipers with ABS .

The wheels are 17″ alloy, as is already required, shod with sticky Dunlop Sportmax GPR 300 in 120/70ZR17 and 160/60ZR17 measurements, the seat is 800 mm, its tank is 15 l and its dry weight is of 188 kg.

It will be available in racing green decoration in autumn of this year at an unannounced price, but it will not be cheap…
