Dartz is a minority manufacturer, but known to all those who follow the motor world. And if he has made a name for himself in this industry, it is by creating authentic tankettes, masses for civilian use that anyone who sees them thinks (logically) that they should be for the army.
So to see that his new model is a kind of buggy of “colorines” and with electrical mechanics is the least shocking. This is the Dartz Freze Froggy EV Beachstar.
This is a very long name for a model that, in reality, is practically a miniature: it is only 2.89 meters long, a length that it shares with the Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV, the model whose technical base it uses.
In fact, this kinship is also appreciated in its own design, although in the Froggy it has been personalized and, as a whole, it is more striking. Not only because of the colors (something we will talk about below) but also because of the modifications carried out.
In the front set, the optical groups are double, the wheels do not have spokes, the standard windshield has been replaced by one cut in half, humps have been integrated behind the two seats and the rear is topped by a spoiler that looks like a handle .
As for the color combination, it has been chosen for two one-off copies created by the brand in the past. The green is for a Volkswagen Beetle created in the 90s to show its customization potential and the yellow is for a Mercedes G-Class with the bodywork of an SLK created for an investor in the company.
Regarding its mechanics, it is an electric car and it has a small motor of only 41 CV, enough to move a model of such compact dimensions. In addition, it homologates a range of 241 kilometers.
The Dartz Freze Froggy EV Beachstar is a model that has been designed a priori for rental programs, carsharing companies and for fleets of, for example, hotel resorts. Of course, it can also be purchased by individuals. Its starting price is 19,999 euros and the first deliveries are scheduled for mid-2023.
