Mini Spain, in collaboration with the local dealership Mini Lurauto, have sought to strengthen ties and collaborate with raising public awareness, in the desire to project the continuous progress of the manufacturer as a sustainable brand in an incomparable setting such as Pamplona and in one of the most important festivals in Spain.

The initiative was attempted to be carried out two years ago, but had to be abandoned as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, finally, it has been possible to celebrate and it has been a novelty for a city that was preparing to carry out the Sanfermines, one of the most traditional, international media and important festivals in Spain.

The “i” that completes the word Sanfermini comes from the desire and enthusiasm that we all have after two years without being able to celebrate the festivities. As Luis Miguel García, CEO of Lurauto, comments, “And who doesn’t have the illusion of having a good time these Sanfermines? Who does not have the illusion of having a MINI?

The cars that have been used to carry out the San Fermín running of the bulls with 13 electric MINIs are the Cooper SE model. It is based on the original three-door MINI, but is powered by a 135 kW (184 hp) electric motor powered by a 32.6 kWh battery.

This front-wheel drive configuration allows you to homologate up to 233 kilometers on a single charge, recharging that can be completed up to 80% of the battery level in just 35 minutes from a fast charging point at 50 kW. The MINI Cooper SE has a starting price in Spain of 36,900 euros.
