The new Cupra Formentor VZ Tribe Edition is a special edition available in gasoline or plug-in hybrid

The range of models and versions of the Cupra Formentor grows with the addition of a new special edition that adds more exclusivity and unique details to its exterior and interior. It is called Cupra Formentor VZ Tribe Edition and it is already on sale in Spain available in three different engines, two gasoline and a plug-in hybrid with a DGT 0 Emissions label.

The Cupra SUV or crossover, which since its launch has proven to be the best-selling car of the young Spanish brand, thus includes an extra dose of exclusivity with sporty touches for all those buyers looking for something different. The Tribe Edition version includes new paint and wheels, and different details for the cabin.

Starting with the exterior of the Formentor VZ Tribe Edition, we find that the body is available in two paints: Cliff Gray or Midnight Black. Both are combined with matt black accents on the grille, wing mirrors, plastic linings, and brake calipers. There are also new 19-inch alloy wheels finished in black.

Regarding the interior of the new special version of the Formentor, we can see nappa leather seats with copper-colored stitching to match the rest of the cabin, a heated leather steering wheel and dark aluminum pedals. All this, accompanied by a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 12-inch central touch screen.

Meanwhile, the Cupra Formentor VZ Tribe Edition engine offer includes two gasoline mechanics, both based on the 2.0 TSI four-cylinder in-line engine. The first develops 245 HP of power and 370 Nm of torque, with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The second raises power to 310 hp and torque to 400 Nm, and adds 4Drive all-wheel drive.

The third mechanical configuration is the Formentor VZ e-Hybrid. The plug-in hybrid option combines a 1.4 TSI petrol engine with an electric drive and a 12.8 kWh battery. The resulting power is 245 hp and 400 Nm of torque, which is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed DSG automatic transmission.

At the same time, it manages to standardize a range in fully electric mode of 54 kilometers on a single charge, as well as a combined cycle consumption of 1.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 33 g/km. It also has the DGT 0 Emissions label.
