Next Thursday we will know the calendar of LaLiga Santander 2022/2023. The draw for the matches of the 38 league days for the 20 teams of the highest category of Spanish football will be held on June 23 and this year it will have changes at the television level, as Movistar will share its broadcast with DAZN.
As we have already told you in ADSLZone, Movistar reached an agreement with DAZN to be able to broadcast its portion of the cake (5 games per day, except for three exclusive days of Movistar itself). The operator is already starting to send emails to its clients to inform them about how DAZN matches can be seen as a Movistar Plus+ client.
LaLiga 2022/2023 on Movistar Plus+
First of all, if we talk about the decoder, everything will remain the same for Movistar’s own channels, while the new DAZN LaLiga channel that will be created will also be seen through the decoder. As for devices, the Movistar Plus+ LaLiga channels will be seen through the Movistar Plus+ app, while to watch DAZN LaLiga away from home you will need the DAZN app.
For other DAZN channels on Movistar Plus+ «everything indicates that the DAZN 1, DAZN 2, DAZN 3 and DAZN 4 channels, as well as the DAZN Formula 1 channel, will continue to be accessible through the Movistar Plus+ decoder.

However, if we talk about apps, these channels disappear from the Movistar+ app and that content can only be seen in the DAZN app. Formula 1, on the other hand, will continue in both apps.
No news from DAZN
All that remains to be seen is how DAZN will offer its pack for customers who want to watch LaLiga. The streaming platform has already reported that this will be an optional package, so the rest of the customers will not see a new price increase, even if they did not want football.
“We are defining a new pricing strategy for the start of LaLiga and we will provide more information in the coming weeks. As we have already advanced, fans who are not interested in LaLiga will have the option to keep their current subscription plan at the same price, and those who are interested in LaLiga will be able to make a change of plan with a higher cost that will be announced soon.
We will see if, coinciding with the draw for the National League Championship, DAZN is encouraged to let its customers know how they can extend their subscription and how much monthly money this improvement will entail. DAZN raised its prices in March to adjust to the increase in its programming offer, going on to cost 12.99 euros per month for the monthly plan and 129.99 euros for the annual plan.
Since then it has been reported that these new prices would not reflect future access to LaLiga and that a price plan was being worked on for this competition, but the months have passed without any news. As always, as soon as such communication occurs, we will duly inform you in ADSLZone.
