This is something that, for example, we can do daily on Facebook, one of the most representative proposals of this type.

On this social platform that Mark Zuckerberg made available to us at the time, we can find publications of all kinds. In a certain way we have the possibility of personalizing and configuring our account in order to focus on the content that really interests us.

In addition, it is more than likely that on many occasions we will see inconsequential publications, or run into people we do not want to see. Keep in mind that this is a social network that allows you to send friend requests to anyone you meet here. We only have to do a search by first and last name to locate someone we are looking for and send a request. Obviously, and how could it be otherwise, other Facebook users can do the same with us.

That is precisely why on many occasions we receive friend requests from people we do not know. What’s more, this is something that for many can become a real nuisance, since they do not stop receiving requests for these characteristics that come from strangers. However, those of you who find yourself in this situation should know that it is something that can be customized and even blocked.

Block friend requests on Facebook

First of all, we must take into account that the social network allows us to configure a multitude of sections and modes of use. This is something that not everyone knows and that allows us to customize some important sections related to privacy. Precisely what is related to the friend requests we receive from strangers is a clear example of all this. This is what we are going to talk about next and how you can change the situation.

The first thing we must do to customize this privacy section that we are talking about is to click on our profile picture. This is located in the upper right corner of the main interface of the social network. Among the options that appear here we opted for Settings and privacy / Settings.

Facebook settings

In the new window that appears on the screen we will find various sections that we have the possibility of configuring now. In the case at hand, we only have to click on the Privacy option that is located in the left panel. Now we only have to locate an entry that says Who can send you friend requests? It must be said that, by default, Facebook is configured so that everyone can do it.
