Within the segment of small SUVs there are models that tend to monopolize all the spotlights, leaving others that are sensible and quite rational options in the background. The Kia Stonic is one of them, a solvent SUV that is an interesting option both new to the used market. This is what you need to know about second-hand Kia Stonics.
The Korean is one of the youngest cars of the brand, since it was released in 2017. This greatly conditions the used offer, since unlike other cars, the units are all relatively new, they have more or less mileage content and its condition tends to be good.
This implies a couple of things: on the one hand, the prices are not knockdown, although since it is an affordable model when it is new, second-hand is also quite cheap; and, on the other, that the available supply is not excessively wide, which also affects the variety.
Thus, currently in Spain only a few hundred copies are available and, as the Kia range is quite specific, there are only a few engines and finishes to choose from.

The first thing to do is distinguish by fuel. The presence of diesel options is testimonial and barely accounts for 15% of the supply on the second-hand market. They are blocks of 110 and 115 hp, always with manual transmission.
As a general rule, they are the ones with the most “tute”, with mileage that can exceed 150,000 kilometers. In addition, since the diesel alternatives were eliminated in the 2021 update, there are no zero kilometer copies, it being usual for them to have at least between 30,000 and 50,000 kilometers.
The second-hand Kia Stonic diesels move in a price range of between 14,000 and 20,000 euros.
The most abundant are the used Kia Stonic gasoline, something logical for the vehicle segment and because the mechanical range of the model has given greater prominence to this fuel since its launch.
The range of Kia Stonic gasoline engines consists of three propellers, an 84 hp access, an intermediate 100 hp and the top of the range with 120 hp. The distribution in the market is quite even between them, although our recommendation is that you go for the 100 CV at least, since the first one may fall somewhat short.
With this fuel, there are zero kilometer models, since they continue to be manufactured today, but the most used units rarely exceed 120,000 kilometers, so they are generally newer than diesel ones.
They are the ones with the cheapest access price (from 13,000 euros), although their ceiling is very similar to that of the diesel variants.
Finally, mention must be made of the micro-hybrid versions, which are the most recent and began to be sold in 2021. It is surprising that there is a fairly large number of them, although the vast majority are zero kilometer. That is why they move in a higher price range, between 18,000 and 24,000 euros.
