A unique car.
Cadillac is ready for its final return to competition. After appearing in American competitions since 2017, he is now aiming for world championships, and we like that. To face his new stage in the competition he has chosen the Cadillac Project GTP, this Hypercar that will leave you speechless. And you will see it very soon.
The American manufacturer has already announced that it will participate in the IMSA in the GTP category, a category that replaces the Dpi, and in the WEC. This last competition, combined with the LMH, replaces the old LMP1. And with all this, there is only one detail that makes us certify that it is a Cadillac, the vertically oriented front headlights.
Chris Mikalauskas, Cadillac’s Principal Creative Exterior Designer, said of this car: “The Project GTP Hypercar is a unique convergence of form and function and showcases Cadillac’s future high-performance aesthetic. We have so much more to come, from the next race car to amazing production vehicles.”
Laura Wontrop Klauser, GM Competition Program Manager, commented: “Competing for overall victory at Le Mans with an iconic American brand like Cadillac is an honour. The entire team is excited to continue building Cadillac’s racing legacy by competing against the best internationally and in the toughest race in the world.”
