In the following video you can see how this 780 hp Audi RS 6 V10 biturbo reaches 335 km/h on a stretch of the Autobahn with no speed limit.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the launch of the first Audi RS 6. The E-segment sports saloon, which has already been on the market for four generations, is famous for its performance and design, and for being currently available only with a family body, which makes it gives it a special appeal.
The first generation, known as the C5, was equipped with a V8 biturbo engine, like the rest of the versions. But there was one exception, the second generation of the RS 6 (C6), in which Audi opted for a 5.0-liter V10 twin-turbo engine, the engine with the largest displacement factory installed in an RS 6.
This is how this 780 hp Audi RS 6 V10 biturbo reaches 335 km/h on the Autobahn
And it is precisely a modified unit of this generation that has been tested on the AutoTopNL YouTube channel. In the video that illustrates these lines you can see how this 780 hp Audi RS 6 V10 biturbo reaches 335 km/h on a stretch of the Autobahn with no speed limit.
From the factory, the 5.0-litre V10 with two turbochargers develops 580 hp and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. This generation was even more powerful than the brand’s flagship, the Audi R8, which then developed 560 hp. It is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.
Years later, Audi would launch the RS 6 plus version with which the company with the four rings managed to exceed 300 km/h maximum speed for the first time with a production car. Audi would reach 303 km/h, a figure that contrasts with what this modified unit achieves.
Specifically, this Audi RS 6 V10 biturbo develops 780 CV of power and a maximum torque of 955 Nm. With the original specifications, it went from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reached a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). However, after the 200 hp and 305 Nm extra, the 0-100 km/h is completed in 3.9 seconds and they announce a top speed of 350 km/h.
In the video they will not reach 350 km/h, but you will be able to see it “flying” at 335 km/h in a section without speed limit of the famous German Autobahn. Don’t miss the video.
