Voltio, this is the new carsharing company that arrives in Madrid with 500 electric cars to share

Voltio will begin to provide service on December 15 and until the 31st of that month, prices will have a 50% discount

Mutua Madrileña expands its portfolio of mobility services with Voltio, the new carsharing service in Madrid that will start providing service in mid-December.

The capital is one of the cities in which the use of car sharing has grown the most; With the arrival of Voltio, the offer is expanded with half a thousand electric cars.

Voltio, a new carsharing company in Madrid

Volt is the SI unit used to measure electrical potential. It is also a popular term used as a synonym for “going out for a walk”. The union of both meanings in which the new carsharing service wants to be transmitted.

Voltio, which will compete with established companies in the capital such as Wible, Car2go, Share now, Emov or Goto as the main hourly (or minute) car rental companies, will begin to provide service on December 15.

In a first phase, it will have a fleet made up of 500 cars for shared use: 400 Fiat 500e and 100 Opel Corsa-e. All will be available for rent at a one-time rate of 30 cents per minute and a break rate of 15 cents/minute.

To rent Voltio cars it will be necessary to use their application. Registration in the app does not require payment of a registration fee; it will be the mobile device that will be used to open and close the vehicle once the service is finished.

“Our goal is for our customers to be able to cover all their needs when traveling: from insuring their owned car to offering services by the minute, day, week or month,” they say from the insurer.

With Voltio, Mutua Madrileña adds shared mobility to the portfolio of services that also includes Centauro (rental vehicles), Chipi (digital mobility comparator), Cabify (transport vehicle with driver), El Parking and Imbric (mobility platforms urban) and NIW (digital platform for buying used vehicles).
