The Swedish firm has revealed all the details of the Volvo XC40 2023, an update that affects the aesthetic, mechanical and equipment level of the range-access SUV.

The Volvo XC40 has been on the market since the end of 2017. However, the electric version, the XC40 Recharge, has only been on sale for a little over a year. That has not prevented the company from implementing an update that affects the aesthetic, mechanical and equipment level. These are all the details of the new Volvo XC40 2023.

All variants of the 2023 XC40 model will receive a new exterior exterior look, with the XC40 Recharge getting a restyled front bumper, inspired by that of the Volvo C40 Recharge, alongside a frameless grille.

The headlights, Volvo’s famous trademark ‘Thor’s hammer’, have also been slightly redesigned and will now feature the company’s latest-generation adaptive LED technology. The all-electric XC40 Recharge will also feature a new range of non-leather upholstery options, new exterior colors and more wheel options.

Another section where changes will be integrated is in the infotainment system that uses the Google Automotive system, standard on Recharge models, and which will now be part of the standard equipment of the entire Volvo XC40 2023 range. The system includes popular functions in the form native, such as Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play.

For its part, the Volvo C40 Recharge has also obtained a new version of access to the range. This variant has a front-wheel drive configuration with an electric motor with 170 kW (231 hp) of power and 330 Nm of maximum torque.

It is powered by a 69 kWh battery and promises an electric range of 425 kilometers on a single charge, recharging it in just 32 minutes up to 80% of its level from a fast charging station.

The renewed Volvo XC40 will arrive on the European market in the fall of 2023 and will do so accompanied by other improvements that include changes at the equipment level. Official prices have not yet been released.
