Imagine viewing your photos and videos in a big way from the sofa at home, and even enjoying each of the applications you have installed on your mobile on the TV screen. And the best of all is that you can do it in several different ways. Technology has evolved at a dizzying pace and it is possible to send the content you have stored on your Android mobile to your television. Below we tell you how to carry out this process using 3 methods.

You’ve probably thought about sharing all the photos and videos from your last holiday with your family, but it can be a bit tedious to have to send them by email or WhatsApp, or lend them your phone so they can view them. And if you don’t want to worry about sharing your images or leaving your phone behind, the best thing to do is to try another, more productive solution: mirror your smartphone on the screen of your Smart TV.

This way, you will take control from your mobile to duplicate the content you prefer and everyone in front of the TV will be able to see what is being projected in real time. These are the steps you have to follow to achieve this.

Use the screen mirroring feature of your Smart TV

Some televisions come with a screen mirroring option that is activated from the settings. For example, Samsung televisions come with a system called Smart View as standard, which is also used by this manufacturer’s mobile phones. From this tool you can search for Bluetooth devices, but to do so you must also have it activated in your smartphone’s settings. Once both devices are connected, you can start viewing images and videos on your television.

However, you can use other compatible third-party apps, such as Screen Mirroring TV & Miracast, or Samsung’s own Smart View app, available on the Google Play Store.

You can also look for the screen mirroring option from your Android. Just go into settings and look for the section that says Connection and sharing. Then look for Screen projection and then tap on Search for display devices. From that point on, it will identify your TV and you just have to press accept.

Check if your Smart TV has Chromecast built-in

If you have a Google TV, it probably comes with the Chromecast player, making mirroring your smartphone’s screen even easier and 100% compatible. You can also purchase a separate Chromecast device, though.

This way, you can control all the multimedia streaming files from your mobile. You can use the same operation that we included in the previous section to make the connection: Settings, Connection and sharing, Screen projection.

Use an HDMI cable

Last but not least, one of the most reliable options is to stream content directly via an HDMI cable. This process is foolproof, as your Smart TV will instantly recognize your mobile device, in case you don’t have any of the apps described above.

You will have to shell out a small amount of money, though, as you will need the HDMI cable itself and a USB-C to HDMI adapter for your smartphone. After establishing the connection, your phone’s screen will automatically appear on your TV’s screen.
