Microsoft Rewards is a Microsoft loyalty program that consists of giving users points for using their services. They can then use them to earn real rewards, such as gift cards, subscriptions, donations to charity, or entry into sweepstakes. How can points be accumulated? How are they redeemed?
Although the rewards program is currently called Microsoft Rewards (since 2018), it was born under the name Bing Rewards in 2016. First, it was only used to reward the use of the search engine and, later, it was implemented for other Microsoft services. Hence, the company decided to change the way of naming the awards, so that it included other tasks that can be done with its technological tools.
Users who want to benefit from the rewards by earning points just have to create a Microsoft account and use the tech firm’s services while logged in. From an Internet search through Bing or participating in surveys to playing on Xbox or purchasing from the Microsoft Store it works. In addition, you can carry out specific searches that Microsoft advises you to learn more while accumulating points. For example, today I had to look up the stages of the life cycle of a sea turtle, see the tallest building in the world and test myself on what I know about the Colosseum in Rome.
In addition to the three daily activities, there are more that you can complete. Many allow you to learn a curious fact in detail, but they can also be fun games, like completing a puzzle or testing your knowledge. Therefore, earning points to redeem rewards is not boring and is quite simple. You can just search or play Xbox when you’re interested or go to rewards.bing.com to keep your streak going every day.
Ways to earn points in Microsoft Rewards
Every day, you can earn up to 30 points when you search on Bing on your PC. You can also do this from the mobile application or from the tablet. According to the brand, one search is 3 points and the earning begins with your third search. Other ways to earn points are the daily Rewards activities mentioned a few lines above, or by shopping online through the Microsoft Store. You can also accumulate points by playing with your Xbox console.
Microsoft Rewards Tiers
Depending on the level you are at, you can earn more or less points for your actions:
- Level 1. The one you start with. They give you 3 points per search on the computer (from the mobile you don’t get anything) up to 30 maximum. Every euro spent in the Microsoft Store gives you one point.
- Level 2. Maintained if you earn at least 500 points per month. For each search you will be given 3 points, but the maximum increases to 90 per day. In addition, you can earn an additional 60 from your mobile and for every euro spent in the Microsoft Store, you will get 10 points.
How many points do I have in Microsoft Rewards?
If you use Microsoft Bing or play Xbox every day with your Microsoft account logged in, you may already have a few points accumulated without knowing it. It is very easy to discover it. Just take a look at the right corner of the screen in the Bing search engine, for example. But if you want to know more details, it is best to visit the Microsoft Rewards website.
In this way, the company not only tells you about the points you have available. You can also know what level you are at. Depending on this, you will have access to more or fewer activities to earn more points each day. In addition, you will be able to see how many points you have earned today and, by clicking on “point breakdown”, you will discover why they were given to you. It is also possible to take a look at your streak, to know how many days in a row you have been earning points.
