A new addition to the team.
DAZN F1, the channel that owns the rights to broadcast Formula 1 in our country, has confirmed its team of commentators for the next season, which begins this weekend in Bahrain. Unlike other years, this time there have been several changes.
As expected, Antonio Lobato will continue to give voice to F1 races in Spain, accompanied from Madrid by former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa and engineer Toni Cuquerella, a team that has remained unchanged for years, even in other televisions.
VIDEO: Melissa Jiménez joins the DAZN F1 team
From the paddock, Albert Fábrega, a former F1 mechanic among many other tasks, will once again act as an analyst, contributing his knowledge, interviews and sensations from each of the World Cup circuits. From 2022 onwards, however, it will not be Noemí de Miguel who accompanies Fábrega, but the journalist Melissa Jiménez, whom we have seen in the past covering MotoGP for Mediaset.
Melissa will travel to all the circuits of the World Championship and will be in charge of bringing the fans closer to the last hour from the paddock, living the day to day of each Grand Prix close to the drivers and their teams through exclusive interviews and reports, before and after each race.
“I am very excited to join the DAZN F1 team,” says Melissa. “I am really looking forward to getting started and taking on this new challenge. Through my work, I want the fans to feel as if they were in the paddock, to ‘transfer’ them to each circuit, to know all the ins and outs of everyday life in the pits and on the track and to experience with fascination everything that surrounds the competition.
Noemí de Miguel will present the programs before and after the grand prix from the Madrid set, a task that Nira Juanco had carried out in the last year, who becomes the deputy director of the DAZN F1 channel. The director continues to be Liborio García.
The Formula 1 season kicks off this weekend with the first round of the 2022 F1 calendar at the Bahrain Grand Prix. One more year, all the races can be seen on DAZN F1 and also on Movistar TV, through its linear channels DAZN 1 and DAZN 2, as long as the corresponding packages have been contracted.
Looking ahead to this year, DAZN has announced a price increase, according to which the monthly costs go from €9.99 to €12.99 in case of renewing month by month, while for the full year the price of subscription will be €129.99 (two months are free with this option).
