- You do not need to leave the “Keep me signed in” box checked.
- After this we have to locate the icon that has our name and/or profile picture. It is located at the top right of the screen. Press on it.
- You will see that a new menu is displayed with a few options. The one that interests us is the one that says “View account”.
How to update Hotmail password
- A new page will open where we must click on “Change the password”.
- Now we are going to change the Hotmail password. A security code will be sent to the alternative email.
- Once confirmed you will have to enter the current password and then you will have to write the new one.
If you check the option “Make me change my password every 72 days” then Microsoft will remind you that every 72 days you must change the password, something that is recommended to improve account security.
As you can see, it is a very simple process to change the Outlook password. In a matter of a few minutes you can have a new password. The most recommended thing, as we mentioned before, is that you change it often.
If you want to use a fairly secure password, we recommend that you try to mix a name that you know with another invented one, symbols and numbers so that the password is as secure as possible and you never have security problems with said account.
There are websites that are capable of generating random passwords that are quite secure. However, we recommend you not to use this kind of sites and invent one that is as complicated as possible but that you can remember.
