The rage for using so-called “stickers” on WhatsApp led to replacing emojis, or at least taking advantage of them and becoming user favorites.
So that you are on par with your friends, have fun and express feelings in your conversations with this new alternative, today we will teach you how to import the WhatsApp stickers that your contacts send you.
What do I need before importing the stickers of my contacts?
Before importing the stickers, you should know that they will not only be saved in the WhatsApp keyboard space, but you will also find them in a folder in the cell phone files. So, before importing them, it is recommended that you do the following:
Determine the location of the stickers folder
Just as when downloading other files, these will be located in the internal memory of the cell phone. Entering the file manager, in the local memory we will find a folder called WhatsApp Stickers, and there they will be.
Verify that the format is compatible with the version of WhatsApp
Some stickers, such as animated ones, are not compatible with certain versions of the application. If your animated stickers are not working properly, this is why. And in this case, you will have to go to the app store and update your WhatsApp to a newer version.
Check that the weight does not exceed what is allowed in WhatsApp
WhatsApp only allows stickers that are less than 100 kB, so if you can’t import one, it might be too big. Also, it must have a size of 512 x 512 pixels, or else it will not be allowed.
How do I add a sticker pack from my contacts?
It is very easy to add a sticker or packages of them to WhatsApp, whether they are part of the app’s official ones or those made by a third party.
If they are official WhatsApp stickers
If you want to save a sticker that has been sent to you, you must press (without leaving it pressed for a while, because in this case it is not necessary and it does not work) the sticker, revealing a screen with options.
There you must select see more to be guided to the stickers area so you can download it. You can also add a single sticker by choosing to add to favorites, instead of view more, in the sticker options tab.
To import third-party stickers
If the stickers come from an app outside of WhatsApp, selecting see more will take you to the app store to download the app that contains the sticker pack you want. To add them to the stickers area of the keyboard, press the + symbol in the corner of the keyboard and there you will see the package.
Clearly, here you can also add to favorites only the sticker that caught your attention through the chat, selecting the one of your preference.
Where else can I see the stickers I imported?
In addition to the WhatsApp stickers folder, as we have said, you can locate your stickers by selecting the emojis area, pressing the little face on the left side of the space to write a message and then pressing on the stickers logo, to the right side of the GIFs .
Select recent stickers
From there, you’ll be able to see the stickers you’ve used recently, by locating yourself on the little clock that appears at the top of the keyboard.
Enter the favorites option
To locate and use the stickers of your contacts that you have saved in the favorite section, you must touch the star, located just to the right of the clock of the previous option.
Why can’t I see the stickers I imported?
If the stickers that you have imported do not appear in any of the places where they are usually saved, even when you have the most updated version of WhatsApp, the following options may be useful.
Make sure you have WhatsApp Messenger. If you have WhatsApp Beta, the stickers will not appear in any way. If you have verified that you have the correct version, try forcing the app to stop and clearing its cache.
In case this does not solve it, you can also free up storage space on your device, or uninstall and install WhatsApp again, so you can enjoy the stickers to the fullest.
