We don’t always have to look for the most complicated solution to find a remedy for a problem we have with our devices. And this is what can happen to you in the event that you have a problem with the audio of Orange TV live broadcasts.

As we interact with a greater number of devices and platforms, it is normal that we are more exposed to certain incidents that we do not always know how to solve. If you are Orange TV user, You have probably realized that it is a platform that is very stable, whose performance is highly optimized and has hardly any incidents, always ensuring the best possible user experience.

However, unforeseen events happen, like on any other platform. In it Orange Community Forum, dedicated to being able to solve the most common incidents that its clients have, a user has contacted the rest of the community reporting that they have a problem with the audio of the live broadcasts of the content offered by the platform. The curious thing about the situation is that it does not happen with the broadcasts that you watch from the beginning, but only in those cases in which you choose to watch it live from the decoder. What is the solution?

The solution is not always the most complex

One of the positive aspects that the Orange Community offers us is that other users who have had the same problem can help us even before their technical service. An alternative that is very useful for those problems that are not very complex and that we can solve by ourselves in the shortest time possible.

Another of the company’s users has informed him that the solution is probably found by doing the simplest thing: restoring the decoder from Orange TV. By doing so, probably in a few seconds we will recover our devices’ normality. Especially when it is a problem as localized as the audio not working with the live programs, but it does do so when we click on the option to play it from the beginning.

How to restore the Orange TV decoder

Depending on the decoder that Orange has installed in our home, we will have different options to carry out the relevant restoration and recover its normality. This is how you can restore your decoder depending on the model you have:

    • Android TV Orange Infinity HomeBox – VSB3918: We can restore the decoder from the remote by accessing the Settings menu by clicking on the remote key that is represented by a gear. Next, we will have to click on “Device Preferences” and select “Information”. Finally, we will have to choose “Factory reset and press ”Ok / Selection”.
Otherwise, we can also restore it from the decoder itself by clicking on the “Reset” button at the top right. With the help of a paper clip, we can press the button for about 10 seconds and the device will reset automatically.
    • Android TV – KSTB6130 and OS4000HA: Access the settings menu from the gear icon on the main home page and click on “Decoder settings” and “Device preferences”. Next, navigate to “Recover” and press “Ok”.
    • WHD81 decoder: Press the “Blue – Yellow – Blue” buttons on the remote control and in the menu that appears press “Restore”. The disk will then reboot and reset.
    • OHD80 Decoder: Following the same combination of previous colors, we must press the “Blue – Yellow – Blue” keys and click on “Restore to default values” for the restoration process to be carried out.
