Before or after, any PC user will have to install the Windows version that suits it, but there are few who find that, after a fully correct installation, they cannot access the Internet due to lack of connection without apparent reason that justifies it .
This can be a blow to the initial expectations of each user, where in an environment as technical as computer science, no one wants to have to search between possible errors early. But you can be calm, it is not an isolated event, and we are aware of it, so we will try to facilitate proper functioning for this problem and that your initial experience returns to normal life as soon as possible.
Possible solutions to the connectivity problem
In the first place, and before continuing with the rest of the steps, discard any failure in the network configuration, as it may not be well established. To do this, access “configuration” from the Windows explorer, select the “network and internet” option. From the panel, access the “change adapter options” tab, as indicated in the image below.
Make sure, after that, that the adapter is enabled.
The next thing we must do is open the system symbol (writing “CMD” in the system explorer search engine) and execute the following commands:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
This will make our IP configuration renew and could end our problems, in conjunction with the next step, which will be to configure your DNS.
To do this, access the network configuration with the steps that we have facilitated previously, but instead of clicking on “change adapter options”, click a little higher, where the Ethernet “Properties” box is located.
Here you will find the Internet protocol version 4 (also TCP/IPV4). Click on properties, and when you have to introduce the values for the preferred and alternative DNS server, establish 8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively. After that, keep the changes.
Another measure that you can take is to verify the network controllers, because they may not be installed by default. This process is very simple, you just have to access the device administrator section by pressing Win+X. Once you are inside, you will see the following menu:
Selecting the highlight of “network adapters”, you may find a warning that will indicate that something does not work as it should. In that case, use another equipment to download the controllers from the official website of the manufacturer (it is usually Intel) and transfers the installer to your equipment through a USB by hand.
Have you verified your cable or wifi connection? If not, it may be time to ensure that the problem is not related to the router and the connection established with our equipment. If necessary, check that the cables are correctly connected or that your PC detects the network of your own router.
As a last resort, and whenever you have wireless connectivity, you can try to update Windows through the anchor function of a mobile device, which will allow you to obtain internet connection through that device, which will make the router of router. Once you have proceeded with this step, you just have to access the Windows configuration and choose the “Update and Security” option between the panel. Clicking on “Search for updates” you could find that you do not have the latest version of the operating system, so it will be downloaded and can solve your problem.
If even so, you cannot solve the connection problem for yourself, you will always have the option to go to a professional technical support, if your Internet provider cannot solve your problem.
