Instagram wants you to feel comfortable with what you post. For this reason, for a long time now, you can share your stories, notes or publications with Best Friends. Thus, only users who you completely trust will be able to see your temporary publications and not everyone. Many people wanted this possibility to also be available for Instagram live broadcasts and, finally, it is a reality.
Instagram is a platform where we love to posturing. Normally, we don’t tell everything about our lives in the content we share with everyone. However, we do tend to be more open when we address a smaller audience, the one we blindly trust. We could do this in Stories and Notes, but recently, it also works for the photos and Reels that we publish and, now, live broadcasts have been added.
The Meta social network has more than 1.2 billion monthly active users in the world, according to Statista data. If we only stick to Spain, the figure is almost 24 million. Most people, inside and outside our borders, have become accustomed to being more authentic when posting on Best Friends.
Thanks to this function, we feel more comfortable telling some secrets, we show the faces of our children or nephews without worrying, or we go out undressed, disheveled and even in pajamas. In short, we show our most authentic image, but only with those with whom we decide to share it. Now, this will be possible to do live and direct, choosing the audience before starting a broadcast.
How to make a live on Instagram only for Best Friends
The ability to share what you’re doing live via an Instagram broadcast for Best Friends is something new on the platform. Therefore, if you want to take advantage of this functionality, the first step will be to make sure that you have the social network updated to its latest version.
Afterwards, you must enter the application and slide your finger from the left of the screen to the right. Thus, you will open the function to upload Stories. You will see that the word ‘STORY’ appears just below and, if you slide to the right, other features will appear: ‘REEL’ and ‘LIVE’. Make Instagram park this last option.
By following the steps mentioned, the platform will allow you to give a title to the broadcast, indicate if you are raising funds for an organization and schedule a start date for the live. These functions already existed before and, possibly, are not of interest to you if what you want is to record yourself live for your friends. The tool that really interests us is at the top of the screen.
There, you will see an option called “Share”. By default, Instagram will encourage you to broadcast to all your followers. However, if you click on the down arrow right next to it, you can go live (without spectators) or only show it to your Best Friends. As you will see, you can edit your list of trusted followers in that same section, to make sure that those you want to see you see you. Then, you must hit the circular button to start recording only for a select group of users.
As you have seen, accessing Instagram live broadcasts for Best Friends is quite simple. This way, you ensure that you can record in your pajamas without problems or show yourself as you are, without posturing or filters, with your closest circle. But, in case you can’t understand it in words, don’t worry, we leave you the images of the steps to follow:
