Missed the Apple Music radio show? This way you can listen back
You probably don’t have time to listen to all the Apple Music radio shows (formerly Beats 1). If you are a fan of a particular radio host or guest DJ, you can listen to a previously broadcast radio show at any time. This only works if you are an Apple Music subscriber.

Listen to radio shows in the Podcasts app
Since iOS 17, you can also find Apple Music radio shows in the Podcasts app on all your devices. Some radio programs can only be listened to if you are an Apple Music subscriber. In addition, it is now possible to link third-party apps to an App Store subscription, so that paid podcasts can now also be found in the Podcasts app.
If you are a subscriber, you can listen to all Apple Music radio programs without commercials. You can automatically download new episodes and receive a notification when your favorite show has a new episode. For example, you can listen to Apple Music Today, The Zane Lowe Interview Series, The Message with Ebro Darden, Proud Radio, and HYPED. Non-subscribers can listen to the Zane Low interview and also find a free sample episode on most shows. You can also find Apple News+ in the Music app, if it is offered in your country and you are a paying subscriber. This does not apply to the Netherlands and Belgium.
Listen to radio shows in the Music app
Most radio shows no longer allow you to request a list of songs that have been played, but you can simply press the play button and listen to the entire radio show. You may miss the expert commentary from the radio host, but maybe you weren’t expecting so much chatter at all. Once you have the desired episode of a radio show on screen, you can listen to it.
- Open the Music app and go to the Radio tab.
- Scroll to Apple Music 1 and tap it.
- Tap on the show you want and you’ll get an overview of all previous episodes.
- Start the episode and: enjoy!
