Very interesting offers
As with traditional cars, interesting plug-in hybrid cars can be rented. Let’s see how it is managed and what are the most interesting options currently.
Renting also offers numerous advantages in plug-in hybrid cars: all vehicle expenses during the agreed months are included in a single fee, that is, maintenance, ITV, insurance, breakdowns, taxes…
Three reasons to rent a car and one not to
Of course, the only difference, with respect to internal combustion vehicles, is that the fee does not include the cost of recharging. Once the time stipulated in the rental contract has expired, you can return the car and hire a new one.
Leasing is a good way to make the leap to this type of vehicle which, due to its technological complexity, has a higher price than a traditional one, but in return offers many advantages, including the DGT ECO label.
Advantages and disadvantages of plug-in hybrid cars for rent
Plug-in hybrid vehicles spend much less than combustion vehicles when we talk about the daily cost of gasoline. Comparing a plug-in hybrid car with a traditional one, savings can be over 40% in terms of maintenance costs.
This means that over time, the more you use your plug-in hybrid car, the more significant the savings will be.
On the other hand, these cars have a clearly higher selling price and are more expensive to maintain. But this is where leasing emerges as a good option for those who want to enjoy the advantages of hybrids without their drawbacks.
Plug-in hybrid cars for renting, this is how it is managed
The leasing management of a plug-in hybrid car is exactly the same as that of a traditional car. But, in the case of battery-powered vehicles, you can benefit from Plan MOVES III aid. Because, contrary to what many believe, the MOVES III Plan is not created only to buy electrified vehicles, but also for renting.
The plan contemplates an interesting economic aid that significantly reduces the price of the vehicle. We are talking about 2,500 euros of direct aid and 5,000 euros if you deliver a vehicle for scrap. That money will be deducted, later, from the renting fee.
To request the aid, you only have to fill in the forms that the leasing company will give you, to demonstrate that the holder of the leasing contract, that is, you, is the same person who requests the aid. In the end, once the entity receives the aid money from the state, it will deduct it from the fees you have left to pay.
In this way, access to an electrified car is much easier, since the economic incentives of the Government are added to the facilities and advantages offered by renting, making the final installment paid by the consumer more juicy.
