Couples who meet again, disappointments, marriage proposals, toxic relationships, crazy stories… The topics abound and are the audience’s favorites to spend a more enjoyable Christmas. Netflix knows perfectly well what its viewers like and has continued to hit the nail on the head for another season.
It seemed like it would never happen again, but it has. The reappearance of the controversial actress Lindsay Lohan has not been long in coming and this year she is the protagonist of Our Little Secret, the new film from the big N that is sweeping share share in recent weeks. Its synopsis is about a girl, Avery, who has her first romance with a young man she has known since childhood, but their union breaks up when she decides to leave to live new experiences far from her hometown and, of course, it does not end well. However, fate brings them together again when each of them begins a new relationship in which it turns out that their partners are brothers. They will have to spend Christmas at their in-laws’ house, where they will have to learn to live together for a few days.
And it is not the first time that this type of deliveries sneaks into the most viewed productions, but in 2022 the Bad Girls actress was already a winner with Suddenly Christmas, so it can be said that its trend is growing at dizzying levels during the Christmas period
A failure from critics
Although the film is currently in 7th place in the Netflix ranking, the specialized critics of Rotten Tomatoes provide a suspense after giving it a score of 38%, describing it as a typical comedy that may be mediocre, but at the same time time admire Lindsay Lohan’s mastery of this genre.
