Apple Watch weekly overview
If you fanatically fill the three activity rings on your Apple Watch, you naturally want to regularly know how you are doing with your weekly goals. Fortunately, you can request your weekly overview at any time in the Activity app, so that you know whether you are on track. This way you can quickly view your calorie average, number of steps in the week and much more in the Apple Watch weekly overview. This works differently per watchOS version.
- Weekly overview in watchOS 10
- Weekly overview in watchOS 7 to 9
- Weekly overview in watchOS 6 and earlier
Weekly overview in watchOS 10
In watchOS 10, the Activeit app has a different look. This means you can also find the weekly overview in a different place. After starting the Activity app, you will see an icon in the form of a graph at the top left. Tap this and you will first see the weekly overview, with the other statistics below.
Weekly overview in watchOS 7 to 9
Normally, the Apple Watch presents a weekly overview every Monday with your performance from the past week. Useful to see whether you are getting enough exercise, but if you want to know at any other time during the week whether you have exercised enough, you can also request this.
Since watchOS 7, Force Touch no longer works, so you have to request the weekly overview in a different way:
- Open the Activity app on the Apple Watch.
- Scroll down.
- Tap Weekly overview.
- Scroll down and view the statistics.
In this Apple Watch weekly overview you not only see on which days you achieved your exercise goal, but you also receive much more information:
- Total calories
- Calorie average
- Total steps
- Traveled distance
- Number of stairs climbed
- Active time in minutes
Weekly overview Apple Watch in watchOS 6 and earlier
Follow the steps below to request the weekly overview at any time:
- Open the Activity app on the Apple Watch
- Firmly press the screen with Force Touch to reveal two menu options: Weekly View and Change Exercise Goal
- Here you can see how your weekly goal is doing this week.
As you can see in the screenshots, you can also change your exercise goal on your Apple Watch here. You can read more about this in our separate tip.
Would you like to keep track of your progress throughout the week? Another option besides the weekly overview of your activities is to add your activity rings to your watch face. You can then see at a glance whether you need to move a little more. Do you think the measurements are not really correct? Then it might be time to calibrate your Apple Watch.
