If you are a Digi customer, you may have noticed that sometimes calls between operator numbers fail. Not always, but the operator’s clients report that the following message appears when the call fails: “Movistar information: the phone number you are calling does not correspond to any client.” And it is not a problem with Movistar, but rather it is Digi who has to manage it. The good thing is that there is a solution that has worked as an alternative for some of the clients who have tried it.
It can not only happen to you, but also to other Digi numbers that try to contact you. The curious thing is that when the error occurs, it does not appear as the classic missed call message or anything. Now, when trying to call again, customers report that the call is going well. But what is happening? Everything points to a problem with voice calls over WiFi.
Call from Digi to Digi without problems
In most cases, the phrase “Movistar information: the phone number you are calling does not correspond to any client” appears in calls from Digi to Digi, that is, between clients with a number from this operator. However, it is also possible that it happens when they call you from a phone that belongs to another telephone company. Luckily, there is a solution that has worked for a large portion of the users who have tried it.
Basically, the option is to deactivate VoWiFi calls, that is, those that go through WiFi. Not only because the previous message can skip, it may also be the case that it is notified in the following way: “The number you have dialed does not exist.” However, it is clear that this is not the case. For this reason, the advice is to disable this function if you are having problems with calls.
If you have an Android mobile, you must follow this series of steps, although you must keep in mind that they may vary depending on the customization layer of your smartphone brand:
- Go to the mobile Settings app.
- Go to Networks and Internet or similar.
- Click on the SIM card and mobile network tab.
- Select the SIM you have in your phone.
- Scroll down and tap on Enhanced Communications.
- Disable WiFi calling.
And if in your case you have an iPhone, then you should do the following:
- Enter the settings.
- Go to the Mobile Data tab.
- Click on Wi-Fi Calling.
- Now, disable the button.
This way, from that moment on, each and every call will depend on your telephone company’s network. And, in this case, from Digi. So it is one of the different alternatives. However, if the problem continues to recur, the ideal is that you contact the operator through their 1200 number (free from the Digi network) in case it is a specific problem on your line. For example, portability has not been done well or it has to do with call forwarding.
