On many occasions we use our email manager on a personal level to communicate with friends and family. But this method has also been widely used by companies for years, which is why, for example, we use Gmail almost constantly.
Basically this means that we use this means of online communication in both personal and professional spheres. What’s more, in most cases we tend to pay attention to the messages that come to us both from our desktop computer and from our mobile phones. Especially in business environments, these emails that reach our account are not always in our native language.
Hence, now Google wants to make things much easier for us if we use the aforementioned Gmail email manager. We tell you all this because right now the search giant is starting to launch translation support integrated into Gmail’s mobile applications. Here we refer to the official applications that we usually use on both Android and iOS. Thus, the integration of Google Translate in the official application mentioned above adds this requested function that has been available in the desktop version for years.
As you can imagine, this means that email users can receive messages written in other languages that they cannot understand, but now they will fix it instantly. It may be the case that we have to communicate with a foreign co-worker or client. It is also quite common that we have bought in a store outside our native country and receive emails in a language that we do not understand well. Even when we receive malicious emails in other languages, this new integration will be very helpful for us.
Translate Gmail messages directly on your mobile
As many of you probably already know first-hand, until now Gmail users on mobile could use copy and paste emails to translate content. But you had to use another application or translation service external to the manager itself. Things are going to change radically soon, since we are going to find a pop-up message in Gmail emails that are not in the system language.
To achieve all this that we are telling you, once we receive the email on our mobile terminal in the language we do not understand, just click on the Translate to button. This button will appear in a pop-up message where we can now translate said email to the language we select. It goes without saying that the implementation of Google Translate in the Gmail applications supports the automatic translation function. This allows us to translate our incoming emails to others in a matter of seconds.
Also, it is important to know that by selecting automatic translation, emails are translated immediately, without us having to do anything else. We also have the possibility to discard this translation message if we consider that we do not need it. To finish, we will tell you that this is a feature that will gradually arrive throughout this month on both Android and iOS.
