Everyone applauds David Broncano’s program, but in recent weeks an uncomfortable situation has arisen with a problem that is not being talked about. Or, in a way, it is being talked about, but possibly not in the way it should be being done.
Weeks ago the La Revuelta team found that they had to start dealing with the inclusion of the Lottery draw in the middle of the program. They probably didn’t like the imposition, but they had to take care of this request made by La 1, which needed to increase the lottery’s audience figures so that the contest continues generating income. That led to a very peculiar situation.
An unexpected result
Everyone has liked the way in which, La Revuelta, has invented how to introduce the lottery space on television. The idea was to ensure that viewers did not change the channel and continued watching Broncano’s program. Because, of course, this is a real risk. If viewers change the channel, they may not come back, at least if what they find while browsing interests them enough.
As a way to combat this risk, Jorge Ponce got to work to introduce a dose of comedy during the lottery draw. Thus, although the main screen would have the lottery in the foreground, there would be a second camera in which you could have a window into the world of The Revolt. And this is how, over the days, we have seen how Jorge Ponce and his team have done all kinds of crazy things. The last thing was to start dancing with a choreography that left no one indifferent. Even the lottery presenter herself could not avoid the comments in that type of crossover action that is so curious that it has ended up captivating viewers.
The existing problem
The problem is that, as fun as it is, there is something important that not enough attention is being paid to: viewing through RTVE Play. The reproduction of La Revuelta programs is common and is something that all types of people resort to, especially those who live abroad or those who, at night, do not have the opportunity to see the space. Unfortunately, this interruption corresponding to the Lottery ends up disappearing from the montage included in RTVE Play, something that, in a way, makes sense. It could be seen in a positive way and say that, by watching the program stored on the streaming platform, we do not have to suffer the interruption in question. But the problem is that these cuts have been absorbed by La Revuelta with such mastery and humor, that now what happens is that viewers are left without a fun part of the programs.
And the bad thing is not only missing it, but the main drawback is in the way in which references are made to what happened. This creates a situation of loss of context that is not pleasant at all while you are watching the program, especially in view of how the connection between the Lottery and The Revolt is being leaked.
Is there a solution? What you can do is enter RTVE Play and search for “Lotería” so that the recordings from the last few days appear. This will allow you to see the space as it was included in the middle of La Revuelta, even with the little window that shows us what happens in Broncano’s program. All lottery broadcasts are within “Lotteries” and, to navigate between the different broadcasts, you just have to click on “Episodes”. In any case, there is no connection with the Lottery programs in the exclusive RTVE Play menu dedicated to La Revuelta, so it is not exactly easy to find the recordings. And even if you can select them independently, it is not easy to do so either.
It wouldn’t hurt if, in order to maintain good monitoring of the way in which La Revuelta a toro passed is enjoyed on RTVE Play, some type of alternative is offered. At least, of course, if Broncano and company intend to continue encouraging the lottery broadcasts as they have been doing in recent days.
