You may have wanted to share your identity document on the Internet for some reason, either because your followers do not believe you when you tell them your age, because they do not believe that you have a certain name or you need to send it for a specific procedure. In any case, the risk of showing the DNI on the Internet is a reality.
For this reason, a series of aspects must be taken into account so as not to share data that could really play tricks on you. And it is that, if we are not careful, we could give free rein to cybercriminals who can even impersonate our identity. But, if you want to show it for any reason, you better take this advice from the Police into account.
The danger of sharing your ID
In any case, the authorities recommend restricting the cases in which the DNI is shared or sent as much as possible and doing so only when the platform is completely trustworthy. But, if you want to do it, this is the trick that the Police give us. In this way, we will be making sure that they cannot impersonate us.
The best of all is that with a small modification that we make to the copy of the DNI, we will be able to avoid precisely this danger that is the order of the day. And it’s simple, since we can do it from any current phone, so it won’t even be necessary to have a computer to carry out this little trick.

How to do it safely
First of all, we must have a digitized copy of the DNI on hand. Or, simply, take a photo of the original DNI to carry out this edition from the Android or iOS smartphone. Therefore, you should do the following.

On Android: go to the ID image, tap on the pencil icon or the Edit button, which will take us to edit the photo, tap on Pen and choose the color black (depending on the personalization layer of the mobile, these can change Steps).

On iOS: go into the gallery, tap on Edit and now tap on the pen-shaped icon. Inside, choose the pencil or pen (select the thickness of the stroke you want) and use the color black.
Once this is done, you will have to paint over some data such as the Issuance and Validity on the front of the identity document. And, as for the rear part, the ideal will be to paint over the number that comes in Equipment. If we do it from other tools, the ideal will be to erase or blur these elements.
