The Income campaign 2023 is close to coming to an end. However, this does not mean that we have to forget about the declaration presented. In fact, through the Tax Agency’s own website we can access our profile and find out where the declaration is located. This information is very useful in those cases in which the result has been returned, since it allows us know the exact moment in which the transfer is ordered, the last step before receiving the money in our bank account.
A few weeks ago, it was known that the Tax Agency was sending notifications to all those taxpayers who had submitted the income tax return and a possible error had been detected when verifying that the data entered They were different from those registered in the tax agency’s database. Now, and as it appears in the own website of the Tax Agency, A new state has been added that advances precisely in this direction and that invites us to present a rectification.
A supplementary statement
The state reads the following message “Some of the information included in your declaration does not match what the Tax Agency has available. You can correct these discrepancies by submitting a complementary declaration through Renta Web”. Although we are not obliged to present any modification to our declaration, it is advisable that we review what was presented to assess a possible complementary declaration that allows us avoid any possible sanction in the future after the Treasury has carried out the corresponding inspection.
Although the information found in the draft when we access it is usually quite reliable, given the large amount of data that the Tax Agency has about our tax situation, it is possible that we have a particular situation that is not contemplated. in the initial draft. How could it be an inheritance that we have received during the last few months or some another similar situation that could alter the final result. This may be the reason why the previously mentioned discrepancy exists and that it is only an outdated database.
How to present it
To modify our declaration, we must access our file from the “Draft/declaration processing service (WEB Income)”. Next, we will have to identify ourselves with some of the available means: Cl@ve PIN, Certificate or electronic DNI or, ultimately, the reference number.
After verifying that our declaration is presented in the “Processing Status”, we can check how at the bottom of the page we will be able to access different available services, among which is “Modify declaration”, if we consider that we have been able to err in the presentation of data.
In the event that we have received the relevant notice from the Tax agency, the following message will appear: “If you wish to submit a declaration with the data offered by the Tax Agency, click «Modify submitted declaration”. We must access it and select the “Complementary in one click” option. Immediately afterwards, we can make all the proposed modifications and, following all the steps that the Tax Agency mentions, we can make the final presentation of the complementary declaration.
