Anker has grown into a budget brand in a short time, but with good quality. The Anker PowerWave chargers are available in different variants. The cheapest is a flat black disk on which you can place your iPhone.

Anker also has desk holders, where the iPhone is placed at an angle, so that you can still read the screen. Kit can be useful when facetiming. Anker claims that this is a fast charger, but with 10 Watts it is of course not super fast. There is also a slightly more luxurious version of this model, which can charge at different speeds. However, with the iPhone this is a maximum of 7.5 Watts. The advantage of such a standing charger is that you can also place the iPhone on it in a landscape position.

  • Anker PowerWave drive (10W, approx. €15)
  • Anker PowerWave standing charger (10W, approx. €20)
  • Anker PowerWave standing charger 7.5W/10W/15W, approx. €30)

You can sometimes also find Anker products at other Dutch stores, such as Smartphone Cases. They are often a lot more expensive there than on Amazon.

You get a USB-C cable with this charger. Next to the port you will find a small light to indicate the charging status. There are four rubber feet at the bottom to prevent shifts.

Cheap wireless chargers

If you think the prices of the A-brands are a bit too high, you could also look at cheaper brands. Always check the reviews. Not all chargers are approved and sometimes manufacturers have taken a shortcut when it comes to safety. Always check whether a charger is Qi certified. You have the most certainty with MagSafe-certified chargers, but they are often much more expensive. It is cheaper with a Qi2 charger: these can also charge your iPhone wirelessly at 15 Watts, but the manufacturer does not have to pay a license fee to Apple.

Here you can find some addresses:

  • AliExpress: all kinds of chargers from the most bizarre Chinese brands
  • Ochama: the same kind of offer, many different brands for little money
  • ESR HaloLock: magnetic chargers, also for the car
  • TechProtection: Appelhoes’ own brand with various mid-price chargers

Multiple devices

With a charger for multiple devices you are done in one go. These are often charging stations that you can place on a desk or bedside table. They are suitable for charging your iPhone, Apple Watch and often also AirPods. In addition, there is often a USB port to connect other devices such as an iPad. In the overview below we introduce a number of them to you.
