Movistar TV officially announces the arrival of its new Flash channel service to watch all kinds of sports. They began to be launched in April of this year, and since then, there have been several additions over the last few months. Now, Movistar Plus+ explains what they consist of and how to access these contents.
Football, basketball, tennis… these are some of the sports that can be followed through these new channels that have been on Movistar Plus+ for some time now. However, it is today that the blue operator decides to make this new service of its television platform official.
New Flash channels for sports
The disappearance of the Multi Cine channels of Movistar Plus+ is now a reality, and it may be largely due to the operator’s new commitment to these Flash channels dedicated exclusively to offering a more complete coverage of sports. Within its catalogue, sports competitions are one of the most attractive points of its platform. For this reason, it is logical that the operator is now dedicating itself to making the launch of this new service official, even after some time has passed since the arrival of the first channels.
Now, we can learn that the launch of these channels is due to one of the latest collaborations that Movistar closed with WSC just a few months ago. In this way, new content is offered to customers more quickly once the different sporting events that are broadcast on the operator’s television have finished.
At the end of each sporting event, short videos and other content can be viewed through Movistar Plus+: “long summaries of up to ten minutes, flash summaries (three minutes), personalized coverage of the main stars of the competitions or videos with the best actions (goals, baskets, points, etc.).”
For all Movistar Plus+ customers
This series of new Flash content can be found in the sections named ‘Summaries’ or ‘Extras’, accessing each sport of the ‘Infinite Stadium’ within the Sports section. They are also available in the content tabs of the different sporting events and, of course, can be viewed from the UHD decoder through the following channels:
- FLASH Sports (dial 80).
- FLASH Football (dial 222).
- FLASH Basketball (dial 223).
- FLASH Tennis (dial 224).
- FLASH Golf (dial 225).
Unlike what happened with the Multi Cine channels, these new Flash contents are available to all Movistar television customers. Therefore, subscribers who have the Movistar Plus+ channel (dial 7) or a football package in their offer with a UHD decoder (IPTV) and customers with the Movistar Plus+ package for any operator, will have the opportunity to see these new sports contents that the blue operator is betting on.
In this way, the Spanish operator makes clear its commitment to the processing of sports content using Artificial Intelligence through its link with WSC. In addition, it also wants virtually all its subscribers to be able to enjoy it, whether they have a plan with them or with another operator.
