Users pressure Digi to add a “decisive” function when choosing a company

The reason why it is worth talking about this topic again is, on the one hand, that more and more users continue to beg Digi on networks to add this service, and on the other, comment on one of the best utilities that the MultiSIM and that Digi users are missing out due to the operator’s decision not to include it (for now).

It must be said that this is not the first time we have discussed this topic and, specifically, referring to Digi. In August of this same year, we already talked about the lack of the MultiSIM service in Digi, a functionality that many users are asking for from an operator that continues to attract customers in our country.

As we mentioned in that previous article, the MultiSIM factor is undoubtedly an important element that prevents Digi from getting more clients than it could, since for many users, having MultiSIM is a non-negotiable condition. In many other cases, Digi customers decide to stay with the operator, although they regret the fact that they do not have this service and regularly remind the Romanian operator that they are impatiently awaiting the day when Digi announces the arrival of the MultiSIM to your offer.

MultiSIM, as you probably know, refers to the possibility of having several SIM cards of the same number, or in other words, being able to have clones of our SIM card to use in multiple devices. The most obvious uses of this system are to insert this other SIM in our smart watch, for example, or in our tablet, to be able to be connected to the Internet and receive calls and messages also when we are using these devices.

We have already covered all of this, but we must bring up another hypothetical use case that Digi customers will not be able to enjoy while they do not have MultiSIM.

We can’t use a dumbphone

As we have commented on several occasions, the dumbphone phenomenon is gaining followers around the world, and many people are interested in ways to habitually disconnect from technology, as a digital detox, to take care of mental health and avoid screen addiction.

By dumbphone we simply refer to a secondary telephone (although there are also people who dare to use a dumbphone as the only terminal), usually of old technology, which we buy to use at certain times of the day (for example, after work), to disconnect from social networks, work calls or notifications that distract us.

It is the same as if we had a phone for work and another for home use, only in this case the secondary phone is the one we use to disconnect, and that is why the followers of this trend opt for folding phones, small screen or even without a modern Android system, so that the only thing they can do with that phone is receive SMS and calls, getting rid of the infinite distractions of social networks.

Dumbphone from the Punkt brand, at a price of 352.95 euros.

What we are getting at with all this is that, the ideal when we use several phones on a daily basis is to have the same SIM on them, so as not to have to confuse friends and family with different numbers and to be able to answer calls from our phone as well. dumb phone

Users of other operators such as O2, MásMóvil or Vodafone can use MultiSIM, however, Digi customers are still waiting. From what we can see, they are not going to stop insisting on the operator to add compatibility with MultiSIM to their rates. Judging by the positive response that the operator gives to users, we can predict that this service will reach Digi at some point, although we do not know when.
