Despite the widespread use of the social network X formerly known as Twitter, the truth is that there are certain integrated functions that leave much to be desired. In this case, we are going to focus on the default search engine that it offers us and that is of little use.

We tell you all this because the X platform does not offer a very simple way to search for tweets from a specific date range. This is perhaps one of the most common search methods for locating posts in a certain time period. And here we find a social network that presents us with large amounts of information that, in most cases, appears faster than we would like.

This is one of the reasons why we often miss posts published by others that we would have liked to have seen. That is precisely why we are going to talk about this trick below, which allows you to perform searches by limiting the results by date. This will save us from having to be constantly attentive to the posts that appear on our wall.

Twitter offers an advanced search page that allows us to locate tweets published in the past. If we want to customize these searches for a specific date range, we must initially limit ourselves to using the desktop version of X. To do this, we just have to open our account on the social network and click on Explore in the left panel.

If you want to perform time-limited searches in the desktop version, click on Advanced Search.

Find tweets between two specific dates in X

It is worth mentioning that not everyone knows this method of searching on the social network, since we normally use the simple search. However, this trick that we show you can save you a good amount of time when it comes to locating certain entries from those we follow here. To say that to directly access this function of the social network, we can do so from this link.

At this point, a series of fields will appear on the screen that we can fill in. We don’t have to fill them all in, it depends on what we want to find. In the case that concerns us in these lines, we can find the date limit at the bottom of the window that we have on the screen.

Apart from all the parameters that we can customize related to the accounts, words or hashtags of the search itself, at the very bottom we find the date fields.

As you can imagine, here we will only have to set the start and end dates so that Twitter shows us the results published between the two days. Obviously, all the parameters filled in in the advanced search fields of this same window will also be taken into account in order to further filter the information that the social network will not offer.

There is no doubt that this method of content localization will be extremely useful for many and a good way to save time and effort.
