Wouldn’t it be handy to see a map of where you need to be when you have appointments in your calendar? Especially when you have appointments in unfamiliar places, you don’t have to search as much for the location and you can also get a warning in time when it’s time to leave. This tip explains how it works.
Add location to an appointment
When you add an appointment to the calendar, you can also fill in a location. It is smart to do this, because this extra information makes it easier to arrive at the appointment on time. This is how it works:
- Open the Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Add a new appointment using the plus sign and enter a title.
- Tap the Location or Video Call field. You can now manually enter an address or add your current location.
- Save the appointment.
When you view the appointment later, you’ll see a map at the bottom of the screen showing the location. Tap the map to open Apple Maps and plan a route to the appointment.
Once you have entered the location, you can also easily view the travel time in the calendar and receive a notification when it is time to leave. If you use CarPlay, navigation will automatically start as soon as you connect your iPhone to your system. This way, you will never be late for your appointments again!
