Disney updates Nightmares
The series that David Schwimmer will star in will be Nightmares: The Disappearance, which is presented as the second spiritual season of the production with which Disney+ began in 2023. The first season had 10 episodes, but its story will not continue directly. Taking as a reference the spirit of the legendary Nightmares books written by the legendary RL Stine, who recently turned 82, the series changes its cast and setting. The bad news is that this second season of Nightmares will not premiere until January 10, so we will not have it available on Halloween as we would have liked. What should be a moment to connect with their father after the divorce turns into a complicated situation when they discover that there are many mysteries around them. And they are not normal mysteries, but dark and, in a way, terrifying.
While trying to discover these mysteries, the protagonists and their friends will find themselves connected in an unexpected way with the disappearance of four young people that occurred in the 90s. This will cause everything to change around them and they will encounter more mysteries and dangers. . We will have to see, on the other hand, what kind of relevance the legendary Friends actor has, who in the teaser we see surrounded by a strange substance that, without any connection, reminds us of the Spider-Man symbiote. In any case, it seems that the character Schwimmer plays is not exactly having a good time, so he could face problems during the story.
If you are a fan of Nightmares and you know these legendary books inside and out, you will probably be able to catch many references in the new season. At the moment, it has been announced that the second season will be inspired by books such as Don’t Go Down to the Basement, The Haunted Car, Monster’s Blood, The Library, The Ghost Next Door and Welcome to Camp Nightmare.
